GalaxyCore has recently announced the launch of two high-performance mobile image sensors based on its innovative GalaxyCell® 2.0 technology: the second-generation 50MP CIS GC50E1 with 0.7μm pixels, and the 13MP high-frame-rate HDR CIS GC13B0. These two products feature significant advancements in pixel performance, delivering superior image quality and meeting the higher demands of brands customers for mobile imaging.
GalaxyCell® 2.0 Technology: Imaging Quality Enhancement in Every Aspect
The newly introduced GalaxyCell® 2.0 technology platform leverages advanced FPPI®Plus isolation technology. By designing deeper photodiodes and combining it with improved Back-side Deep Trench Isolation (BDTI), the 0.7μm pixel Full Well Capacity (FWC) is increased by approximately 30%, and Quantum Efficiency (QE) is enhanced by around 20%, while maintaining consistent White Point (WP) levels. In practical applications, this technology significantly improves Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) in low-light environments and, through the integration of GalaxyCore’s unique single-frame high dynamic range (DAG HDR) technology, effectively expands the dynamic range, offering users an exceptional photography experience.

GC50E1: Second-generation 50MP 0.7μm Image Sensor, Enhancing Imaging Details and Dynamic Range
The GC50E1 features 0.7μm pixel size based on the GalaxyCell® 2.0 technology platform, delivering significant improvements in pixel performance, dynamic range, and power consumption optimization. Compared with the previous generation, it excels in low-light environments, with more accurate colors and richer detail.
Additionally, the GC50E1 increases Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) density to 100%, enhancing autofocus performance to improve both shooting precision and speed. Equipped with GalaxyCore’s proprietary DAG HDR technology, the GC50E1 can output 12bit image data, ensuring rich highlight and shadow details in images for a more dynamic range.
The GC50E1 integrates Always-on Low Power (AON) technology, supporting Ultra-Low Power (ULP) mode and Ambient Light Sensing (ALS) mode, catering to diverse mode requirements.
With its high resolution, excellent autofocus, and HDR performance, the GC50E1 is ideal for the front and ultra-wide-angle lenses of flagship models, making it a preferred choice for mainstream smartphone rear main cameras. This product has already entered the sample testing phase and is expected to enter mass production later this year.

GC13B0: High Frame Rate 13MP Image Sensor, Optimized for Foldable Phone Front Cameras and Mainstream Telephoto Lenses
The GC13B0, based on the GalaxyCell® 2.0 technology platform and featuring 1.0μm pixels, delivers excellent imaging performance. Compared with traditional 1.12μm 13MP CIS sensors, the GC13B0 boasts an approximately 8x increase in Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) density, enabling precise focusing in low-light conditions, during motion photography, and when capturing fast-moving objects.
With a new circuit architecture design, the GC13B0 supports 4K 60FPS video output with PDAF, offering users smoother high-definition video and vlog recording.
The product also supports the Chief Ray Angle (CRA) design for both wide-angle and telephoto lenses, with the telephoto lense supporting 2.5x-3x optical zoom. Its 1/3.4" optical size also meets the design needs for slim devices.
Thanks to its high performance and compact design, the GC13B0 is widely suitable for foldable phone front cameras and mainstream telephoto lenses. The GC13B0 has entered the sample testing phase and is expected to begin mass production in the third quarter of 2025.
