
GalaxyCore has been named 2025 Outstanding Chinese CIS Brand Enterprise in the 18th HQEW Net High-Quality Suppliers & Outstanding Chinese Brands in the Electronic Components Industry selection.
The award recognizes GalaxyCore's work in CMOS image sensors and the performance of its flagship 4K starlight image sensor, GC8602. More than 11,600 companies participated in this year's program.
The selection process included company nomination, public voting, and expert review. Companies were evaluated on overall strength, technology, and market performance.
GC8602 is one of GalaxyCore's flagship products in the non-mobile CIS segment. It uses GalaxyCore's self-developed FPPI Pixel Isolation Technology, dark current suppression design, and a low-power architecture. Since its debut at CPSE 2025 in Shenzhen, the product has entered customer evaluation in multiple sectors and has received positive feedback.

- Starlight imaging: Leveraging FPPI Pixel Isolation Technology and dark current suppression design, the GC8602 significantly reduces noise in high-temperature, low-light, and even completely dark environments, delivering clean, delicate full-color images.
- Near-infrared (NIR) sensing: With enhanced NIR sensing capabilities, the sensor is adaptable to a variety of complex scenarios such as 4K smart IoT, video conferencing systems, and dash cameras.
- Ultra-low power design: The power consumption at full-resolution 30 fps is approximately 160 mW, while standby power drops below 500 μW. It also supports rapid boot-up functionality.
- Artifact-free single-frame HDR: Featuring GalaxyCore's unique DAG HDR technology and supporting 14-bit/12-bit modes, the GC8602 achieves high dynamic range output in a single frame. It effectively handles challenging lighting conditions, such as strong light and backlighting, ensuring stable and distortion-free image details.
- High image quality at high frame rates: The sensor supports 3840 × 2160 full-resolution 4K UHD output at 60 fps. Combined with up to 64x analog gain and a 9° CRA (Chief Ray Angle) design, it maintains smooth imaging and clear detail even in fast-motion or low-light conditions.
With its balanced strengths in low-light imaging, HDR performance, power efficiency, and 4K high-frame-rate output, GC8602 has become a standout product in GalaxyCore's non-mobile CIS portfolio. The award further underscores GalaxyCore's growing presence and technical capabilities in advanced imaging.
